|Product name:||L-Glutamic Acid|
|Molecular Formula: ||C5H9NO4 |
|CAS No.: ||56-86-0|
L-Glutamic Acid occurs as a white, free-flowing, crystalline powder. It is slightly soluble in water, forming acidic solutions. The pH of a saturated solution is about 3.2.
L-glutamic acid is mainly used in the production of monosodium glutamate, spices, as well as salt substitutes, nutritional supplements and biochemical reagents. L-glutamic acid itself can be used as a drug, involved in the metabolism of proteins and sugars in the brain, and promotes the oxidation process.
