High yield resveratrol was produced by modifying an oil producing yeast

Recently, the research team of Technical University of Denmark has produced high-yield Resveratrol by modifying an oil producing yeast.

Through genetic modification of the strain, the research team optimized the fermentation conditions in the medium and fed batch fermentation. The results showed that the yield of resveratrol could reach 12.4 g/L, which is also the highest reported potency of resveratrol synthesized from scratch so far.
