Description

Maltodextrin occurs as a white, slightly hygroscopic powder, as granules of similar description, or as a clear to hazy solution in water. It is a purified, concentrated, nutritive mixture of saccharide polymers obtained by the partial hydrolysis of edible starch. Powders or granules are freely soluble or readily dispersible in water.

 

Application

Maltodextrin is also called water-soluble dextrin or enzymatic dextrin. Maltodextrin is a carbohydrate composed of many other sugar molecules. It is made from various starches as raw materials. Maltodextrin has no peculiar smell,low heat and good solubility. Maltodextrin contains a lot of polysaccharides, and also contains calcium, iron and other trace elements and minerals that are beneficial to the human body. Its raw materials are starchy corn, rice, etc. It can also be refined starch, such as corn starch, wheat starch, tapioca starch, etc.

1)For food drying additives:

Maltodextrin has good fluidity and solubility, strong heat resistance, low moisture absorption, no agglomeration and no peculiar smell. It is often used as a drying aid in the drying process of fruit juice products, so as to prevent the agglomeration of fruit juice powder products and increase the solubility of the products.

2)Application in embedding:
