|CAS No.: ||7447-40-7|
Potassium Chloride is a colorless crystal or white crystalline powder. It is soluble in water, ether, glycerin and alkali, slightly soluble in ethanol, but insoluble in anhydrous ethanol, hygroscopic, easy to agglomerate; solubility in water increases rapidly with increasing temperature, and sodium salt often acts as a metathesis to form a new potassium salt.
Potassium Chloride can be used as a diuretic and electrolyte supplement for the treatment of hypokalemia. Also used as a nutritional supplement, gelling agent, yeast food, salt substitute, etc.
