Description
Sodium dithionite is a white sand crystal or light yellow powder chemical. It has a melting point of 300 ° C (decomposition) and an ignition temperature of 250 ° C. It is insoluble in ethanol and soluble in sodium hydroxide solution. It reacts strongly with water and burns.
Application
Sodium dithionite is widely used in the printing and dyeing industry, such as cotton fabric dyeing agent and silk wool fabric bleaching. Also used in medicine, mineral processing, and copperplate prints. Also used as a bleaching agent and the like in the paper industry. Food grade products are used as bleaches, preservatives and antioxidants.
