Description
Bismuth Subgallate is bright yellow, odorless and tasteless powder. It is practically insoluble in water, in alcohol, in ether.
Application
Bismuth Subgallate is used for astringent and antiseptic, and it is used for skin diseases such as eczema. Bismuth Subgallate has possessing protective effects on the gastric mucosa, strong astringent effects, and not as yet elucidated antimicrobial and hemostatic actions, it is most commonly available as an over-the-counter internal deodorant where it is often employed as the primary active ingredient.
