Description
Paracetamol is a white or almost white, crystalline powder. It is sparingly soluble in water, freely soluble in alcohol, very slightly soluble in methylene chloride.
Application
Paracetamol is mainly used for fever caused by colds, headaches and relief of mild to moderate pain, such as joint pain, muscle pain, neuralgia, migraine, dysmenorrhea, cancer pain and postoperative analgesia. It can also be used in patients who are allergic to aspirin, intolerant or unsuitable for aspirin: patients with chickenpox, hemophilia and other bleeding disorders, as well as patients with mild peptic ulcer and gastritis.
