Tinidazole is an almost white or pale yellow, crystalline powder. It is practically insoluble in water, soluble in acetone and in methylene chloride, sparingly soluble in methanol.
Tinidazole is used in anaerobic system and local infections, such as abdominal cavity, gynecology, surgical wounds, skin and soft tissue, lung, chest and other parts of the infection and sepsis, intestinal or genitourinary trichomoniasis, pear-shaped flagellate and intestinal and hepatic amebiasis.
